sometimes i think about how american schools still teach kids that using the atomic bomb to kill countless japanese civilians was a good thing because it “ended the war”, even though that was straight up not true. theres lots of conversations about other countries denying their war crimes, but i dont think there’s enough about america actively celebrating its war crimes and teaching children that it was good to massacre unarmed civilians, that non-american lives dont matter
dont know how to tell yall this but people being racist isnt funny.
like i KNOW you white people dont have any empathy for us but perhaps think about why ur first reaction to seeing someone else being racist is a keyboard smash or otherwise showing how u think it’s ~hilarious~ that that person is being racist like uhm? ur not affected here. i know u stand apart frm this. spare tact pls mayhaps even think abt how this line of thinking actively hurts us too while u think ur exempt frm criticism bc yr ~above those racists~ like i prommy ur just as racist actually.

i want to be a new yorker. i will call people asshole and buy things from bodegas. i would watch SNL on CBS all night while drinking tap water with my wework colleagues. ill have an eight ball every day thats worth some sloppy mop. i would go to my fire escape to hit my juul every night. i am also more likely to meet influencers, andrew wk, 50 cent, and maury povich. i wish i was a new yorker :(
